Hi, I have just preordered my Steam Deck but I have been doing some digging and I am unsure about whether Forza Horizon 4 will run on Steam OS. I know that Forza Horizon 5 was one of the preview games and that it ran ok despite having a silver rating on proton but Forza Horizon 4 only has a bronze rating on proton.
Forza Horizon 5 seemed to have issues in pre-release coverage (and during the review period too, to be honest) but since the last major SteamOS upgrade, I'm running it at a flat high preset with

Forza Horizon 5 - Deck vs Xbox One X. I saw that Horizon 5 is on sale on Steam now. I'm curious about how it plays on the Deck and if anyone has advice about which platform I should buy it for? I just won’t race at 30fps so I gave the 40/40 route a whirl and so far I like it the best. It feels more fluid then 60/60. I have it at the medium preset and haven’t noticed anything abnormal yet. FSR isn’t going to do anything here, at least as far as I understand it. And then vsync turned off.
In Horizon Zero Dawn and Forza Horizon 5 I only saw an increase of 24% and 33% respectively, which isn't that exciting; less than an extra 30 mins in both cases. Y'know what, I blame the horizon.

Odd. I decided to try it after your post here and all worked first try on Proton 7.0-2. One issue that bugged me for a little while was that the fps seemed to tank and be very inconsistent, hovering around 36-42fps and things felt sluggish.
