The SP01 I would compare to a Glock 17 or even a 34 for comparable size. I own all 4. If you've never shot a handgun before, either one is a good choice as millions of shooters have shown.If you prefer striker fired guns then go with Glock, if hammer fired then the CZ P01 decocker model or the 75 PCR model. I prefer guns/models without manual
The decock-only Px4 would be much better. For range and for the collection, the classic CZ is probably better. The Px4 is better for rough use (it's polymer, and not as pretty) and home defense because of the light rail. If you want a lighter CZ, get a 75D PCR or P-01 which has the light rail.

I stuck with the smaller of the backstraps, since I have smaller hands. And of course, as with almost every CZ, it points naturally. The CZ P-07 inherited the slide-in-frame of all the other CZ 75 style pistols, which I have found to be quite easy to run. CZ, over the decades, has perfected this design and made it incredibly durable and reliable.
For real. The cz shoots like a dream but the slide is kinda thin and hard to rack sometimes. The G19 works consistently and easily. It's not amazing, but it always works and works well, and as expected. It feels a little light, compared to the cz, but shoots GREAT. It really depends on what feels right to you.

The CZ P-07 is roughly the same size and has the same capacity as a Glock 19, at 15+1. In fact, though the P-07 is hammer fired, these two pistols are in many ways comparable to one another. I spent some time shooting the P-07 and the G19 one after another. I find the G19 easier to control, as its low bore axis means zero muzzle flip. The only disadvantages for CZ 75 vs Glock 19 that I can think of are size and weight -- Glock 19 might be better for concealed carry purposes. But, the greater size and weight of the CZ are probably what lessen the recoil and improve the accuracy (which are noted as advantages for the CZ).

I think the CZ has better grip ergonomics, and the trigger can be worked to be superior to the 92. Additionally, the 92's slide-mounted de-cocker can make for some painful malfunction clearance drills as you rip your racking hand back along the slide (although the PX-4 is worse).
