I've completed the game twice now and I actually have a solution to your problem, you see forbidden west may be a sequel to zero dawn, but you can not play forbidden west like zero dawn, you can not just dodge every machine attack, you need to use the run and slide more, you need to use the weapon techniques more, especially burst dodge. Horizon Zero Dawn, the first game, had a DLC called The Frozen Wilds that was released in November of 2017. Considering Zero Dawn released in February 2017, that would mean the Forbidden West DLC would need to release next month to follow the same schedule.
