After trying a few times, the glow plug light stopped coming on at all and now van won't turn over at all. The RAC have been out to the van and plugged in a power pack and van didn't start (still no glow plug light on dash even when ignition turned on). Tested starter and there is no power going from battery to starter when ignition turned.

Due to its location (under the LH headlight) the horn not working is a common problem on the 244 models. It is prone to water getting inside it resulting in complete failure. Ours is on its 4th now. What resistance did you measure for the glow plugs should be somewhere between 0.5-1.5. OEM ones are 1.4 ohms. Dont forget to check the meter lead resistance first and subtract that from the reading. Measure the resistance via the relay socket to rule out wiring.

Modern motors..everything is so tight for space..they have shrunk M14 Thread becomes M8 13 hex becomes 8 hex But the functional length remains unchanged so it all becomes thinner walled.. for longer lengths.
